Telephone 0121 204 4525 – please have your Library barcode number (printed on your uniCARD) ready and the book barcode numbers (printed below the date stamp label).
If you need to leave a message because the Help desk desk is busy, please make sure you give your details slowly and clearly. Do not assume that the books have been renewed until you receive confirmation.
While you are on your placement you can ask the Library staff to post books out to you. You can check Library SmartSearch to make sure we have the books in stock and then please email library@aston.ac.uk with the following information:
• Book title
• Author
• Class number (e.g. 658.8 MAR)
• Your name and the address where you would like the book to be sent
• Your Library barcode number (from your uniCARD)
• Your Aston email address.
All requests and further correspondence will be sent by email. It is important that you check your Aston email http://webmail.aston.ac.uk at least every other day to see if any books have been recalled.
You can return books in person using the self-issue machines in the Library or you can use the outside book box close to the Library entrance, when the Library is closed.
You can also return books by post but you will need to pay the return postage. Books may be returned by courier or post but the service used should give a guaranteed return within 2-3 days. All items returned should be securely packed and addressed to:
