Please apply online if you wish to request a renewal to extend the loan of the item.  If this is granted, the renewal fee for British Library (BLDSC) supplied items is £6.20 but other libraries may have different charges.  We will advise you of these charges when you request the renewal.  Please note that not all items are renewable.

Items borrowed as an Inter-library Loans belong to other libraries.  You will therefore need to return them to Library staff by handing them in at the Help Point on the ground floor, or if this desk is closed at the Library Reception desk.  Please don't return any Inter-library Loan items at the self service machines.

If an item is returned late you may be charged Library Services overdue fines, plus a fine from the supplying library. This could be £6.20 (BLDSC automatic renewal fee) or more if the book is overdue and cannot be renewed.
