The smartest way to start your search

Search for books using the search box above.

If you want to search for journal articles, use the databases listed in the Accessing online resources tab.

Registering for guest access

Visitors who are not part of a recognised scheme such as SCONUL Access can visit Aston University Library up to 3 times per year for reference purposes. Please report to the Welcome desk at the Library entrance to obtain a one day reference pass.

Passes are available 09:00-17:00 Mondays - Fridays

Day passes are NOT available at the weekends.

Please note: from Monday 25 March 2013 - further notice:

  • Day passes will not be issued
  • There will be no access to the Library at any time for visitors with a SCONUL Reference Only card.

This is due to our busy examination period and a refurbishment which is taking place over the summer vacation.

Please note: you will need photographic ID (such as a passport) and proof of your current address.  You may also be asked for proof of age.
